Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-directed Solution Architect with deep expertise in Regulatory and Compliance domains within Capital Markets. This role focuses on designing and analyzing multi-dimensional architecture frameworks—not coding—across systems and data flows, particularly for regulatory data processing and submissions.

This is an opportunity for someone who thrives on solving complex enterprise and data architecture challenges, especially in high-stakes, regulated financial environments.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in solution or enterprise architecture roles, ideally with a focus on Regulatory and Compliance in Capital Markets.
  • Strong experience designing cross-system solutions, particularly where systems interface for data transformation and regulatory reporting.
  • Expertise in analyzing current-state architecture with a focus on data and system mapping.
  • Proven ability to work independently, lead analysis, and present findings in a structured and disciplined manner.
  • Familiarity with common regulatory frameworks and submission processes (e.g., FINRA, SEC, IIROC, EMIR, MiFID, etc.) is a strong asset.
  • Deep understanding of what “good” looks like for data quality, management, and governance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills; able to translate technical architecture into business context.
  • Capital Markets experience strongly preferred.
Nice to Have:
  • Prior work with regulatory submission systems or third-party reg-tech solutions.
  • Experience in Agile/Scaled Agile environments.

Responsibilities

  • Architect scalable, structured solutions that support regulatory and compliance workflows across enterprise systems.
  • Perform end-to-end analysis of current (“as-is”) state including functional, logical, data, and technical flows.
  • Lead or support solution design for regulatory data collection, processing, validation, and submissions (to regulatory authorities or third-party entities).
  • Translate complex regulatory requirements into structured system and data architecture strategies.
  • Provide guidance and best practices for enterprise data management, data architecture, and governance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including compliance, data engineering, and business to align architecture with organizational goals.
  • Operate with minimal supervision—must be self-motivated and highly disciplined in thinking and execution.
  • Identify gaps and areas for improvement in data flows, system integration, and architectural integrity.
