Description

Building on the success of our procurement services with our customers, we are looking for a Senior Consultant to continue the growth of our strategic procurement practice. As part of a small but growing team, the new member of our team will be required to perform a variety of roles and functions, stimulating initiative while making the most of his/her versatility and curiosity to learn, in an environment conducive to serving our customers in the best possible way.


The successful candidate will be called upon to collaborate on a variety of consulting mandates covering many areas of procurement - from strategic sourcing, sustainable sourcing and transactional sourcing to supplier, performance and risk management. In all these areas, the future candidate will work as part of a team to provide our teams with coaching in terms of purchasing governance, processes, organization and technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or engineering, or equivalent undergraduate degree combined with relevant work experience.
  • Consulting experience (internal or external) considered a strong asset.
  • At least 4 years' experience in procurement.
  • Experience in business transformation, whether in terms of performance improvement, process review, drafting of governance documents and/or technology redesign.
  • Experience, curiosity and interest in rapidly evolving procurement topics, such as sustainable sourcing, third-party risk management, among others.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end procurement solutions (Ivalua, Coupa, SAP Ariba, etc.) would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and French.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • Clear and fluent oral communication, both in French and English.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to analyze the complex structure of a company's problems and synthesize findings and conclusions.
  • Autonomy and a strong sense of initiative
  • Meticulous and conscientious.
  • Strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Depending on client’s needs, the incumbent will have the following responsibilities:
  • Establish and recommend procurement leading practices and assess client organizations' performance gaps or opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop detailed and pragmatic roadmaps, focusing on previously identified monetary, efficiency and/or profit capture gains.
  • Support our clients in the development of a target operating model that promotes sound governance, continuous optimization of existing processes, and performance-based category management, within an adapted organizational structure, adequately supported by technology.
  • Support our clients in the selection, implementation, preparation and configuration of their procurement system.
  • Support and contribute to the training and development of a team of professionals in the successful achievement of the above.

This role is for a BIG4 consulting firm across multiple locations (Toronto, Montreal, Calgary & Vancouver)
